THE AUTOMATED WEEK

Done-for-you operating systems for work and life

Stop being the system.

Your work and life should not depend on you remembering every deadline, connecting every tool, chasing every follow-up, preparing every handoff, and noticing every loose end.

The Automated Week designs and builds a done-for-you operating system around the way your responsibilities actually work—so more happens reliably without everything routing through your memory and attention.

What routes through you

  • Deadlines→ You
  • Follow-ups→ You
  • Approvals→ You

Seven open loops. One person carrying all of them.

Operating principle

AI and automation can carry repeatable work. Operational judgment decides what should move, what should stop, and what should remain human.

The hidden operating role

You have become the system.

You are the connection between the apps that do not talk to each other, the people waiting for context, the decisions that cannot move without you, the deadlines that need watching, and the details no one else knows need remembering.

At work, you carry the follow-ups, approvals, preparation, handoffs, and recurring coordination. Outside work, appointments, travel, care, household logistics, personal administration, and future planning compete for the same finite attention.

Nothing has to be visibly broken for the load to be costly. The drag shows up as constant checking, repeated explanations, avoidable rework, late preparation, loose ends, and the feeling that stepping away would make something important disappear.

  • open01Constant checking
  • open02Repeated explanations
  • open03Avoidable rework
  • open04Late preparation
  • open05Loose ends

You do not need another collection of disconnected automations. You need a system built around the whole operating reality; one that knows what can move without you and protects what still needs your judgment.

These are examples, not a preset menu. The Audit identifies which operating chains create the most drag and which are worth building first.

The right first step

Start with the Audit.

A 90-minute working session to map where your week depends too heavily on you, identify the most addressable friction, and prioritize what should be built first. You leave with the roadmap whether or not we build it together.

See what the drag is costing you.

A directional view of where recurring coordination, rework, searching, follow-up, and manual handoffs may be consuming time and attention. It is a starting point, not a diagnosis.

How it works

Judgment before machinery.

01Audit

First, see the whole system

We start with the Automation Audit: a focused working session that maps the responsibilities, information, decisions, people, and tools currently routing through you. We identify the friction worth addressing—and the work that should remain human.

02Build

Then, build around the way you operate

The system is designed around your real responsibilities, not a generic template. Repeatable work can be automated or systematized. Information can arrive where it is needed. Follow-ups can surface at the right moment. Decisions can be prepared without being taken away from you.

03Handoff

Finally, hand it over clearly

You receive a documented, client-owned system with narrow permissions, human approval where it matters, practical training, and a clear handoff. Quarterly Tune-Ups are available as responsibilities, priorities, and tools change.

↺ Quarterly Tune-Ups as things change

The aim is not to remove you from your own life. It is to stop making your attention the infrastructure for all of it.

A 90-minute working session plus a prioritized roadmap. We map where responsibilities, information, and follow-through depend too heavily on you; identify the most addressable drag; and separate what should be systematized from what should remain human.

FLAGSHIPWork + life

Full OS

Starting at $5,000

One operating system across work and life.

The flagship build for people carrying both work and life complexity. We design it as a whole so deadlines, preparation, recurring coordination, handoffs, household logistics, travel, care, and personal administration do not compete in separate silos for the same attention.

Up to 8 priority workflows total

WorkUp to 5 priority workflows

Executive OS

Starting at $3,500

A complete operating system for the work side.

For people carrying substantial professional complexity. We build up to 5 priority workflows around preparation, follow-through, decisions, information flow, recurring responsibilities, and team coordination.

LifeUp to 4 priority workflows

Life OS

Starting at $2,500

A complete operating system for the personal side.

Built with the same rigor as Executive OS. We address the recurring logistics that keep a life moving—appointments, travel, care, household coordination, personal administration, planning, and the details that otherwise live in one person’s head.

Add-on and continuity

Second Seat

Starting at $1,000

Connect your human support into the system.

We build the recurring inputs, reporting, exception handling, approvals, and handoffs your Executive OS needs from an EA or Chief of Staff, so human context and system intelligence work as one operating rhythm.

Add-on to Executive OS or Full OS

OS Tune-Up

Starting at $500 per quarter

Keep the system aligned as your world changes.

A quarterly review of what is working, what has drifted, and what needs to change. We refine the system as responsibilities, priorities, and tools evolve without rebuilding from zero.

Ongoing continuity

Each engagement is scoped around the operating reality, not a fixed bundle of software.

Fit

Built for people carrying too much of the operating load.

You do not need a particular title. You need enough responsibility that too much of your work or life still depends on your memory and attention.

The common thread is simple: important things keep waiting for you to remember them, notice them, connect them, prepare for them, follow up on them, or decide them.

01

The friction is recurring.

The same follow-ups, searches, explanations, handoffs, or preparations keep returning.

02

Your attention is the backup plan.

When the process fails, you catch it and when you step away, work stalls or details disappear.

03

Your responsibilities cross boundaries.

Work and personal logistics draw from the same limited capacity, even when they live in different tools.

04

You want expert judgment.

You do not want to become an automation hobbyist; you want someone to determine what is worth building and what is not.

05

You care how the system behaves.

Reliability, discretion, human approval, and a clear handoff matter as much as efficiency.

Probably not a fit if

You want a bag of disconnected automations rather than an operating system.

You want every decision automated rather than preserving judgment and approval.

You prefer to build and maintain everything yourself.

About Vickie Nickel

The system is only as good as the judgment behind it.

Vickie Nickel has spent her career in the space between intention and execution—where priorities become work, information becomes decisions, and people need the right context to move. As a Chief of Staff, she built the function from the ground up and learned to see the operating system beneath the visible workload.

The Automated Week applies that same operating judgment across work and life. The work is not about adding more technology or automating for its own sake. It is about designing a calmer, more reliable way for your responsibilities to move—while keeping human decisions human.

A system you can trust

01

Client-controlled environment

The operating system is built in and around tools you control.

02

Narrow permissions

Access is limited to what each workflow actually needs.

03

Human approval

Sensitive, consequential, or judgment-heavy actions retain deliberate human review.

04

Documented handoff

You receive practical documentation and training so the system is understandable, usable, and maintainable.

FAQ

What you should know before we build.

Is this an AI or automation consultancy?

Not in the traditional sense. AI and automation may power parts of the build, but the product is a done-for-you operating system for work and life. We begin with your responsibilities, decisions, information, and recurring coordination, not with a menu of tools.

Will everything be automated?

No. Good operational judgment includes knowing what should remain human. We automate or systematize repeatable movement; we preserve human approval for sensitive, consequential, relational, or context-heavy work.

Do I need to be technical?

No. You do not need to learn the wiring. The system is built for you, then handed over with practical training and documentation focused on how you will use it.

Can I choose only work or only life?

Yes. Executive OS and Life OS are complete, intentional builds. Full OS is the flagship because the same person is often carrying both, but it is not the only path.

I already have an executive assistant or Chief of Staff. Is this still useful?

Absolutely. In many cases, that makes the system stronger. Second Seat connects your EA or Chief of Staff into the Executive OS by defining the recurring inputs, offline context, reporting, approvals, and handoffs the system cannot reliably obtain on its own. The goal is not to replace human support. It is to make the human and system operate as one coordinated layer.

What happens to my information and accounts?

Systems are client-owned, permissions are kept narrow, and human approval is preserved where it matters. Your handoff documents what was built, where it lives, and how it operates.

What happens when the tools change?

The system is designed around the work rather than a single platform. OS Tune-Ups provide a regular point to adjust workflows as tools, priorities, and responsibilities evolve.

What happens after the build?

You receive training and a documented handoff. You can operate the system independently, add Second Seat for an EA or Chief of Staff, or use quarterly Tune-Ups for ongoing refinement.

Your week does not need another workaround.

If too much of your work and life still depends on you remembering, connecting, preparing, and following through, the Automation Audit is the place to begin.

In 90 minutes, we will map where you have become the system, identify the most addressable friction, and turn it into a prioritized roadmap. You leave with the roadmap whether or not we build it together.
